Data controller and policy scope

This is the official privacy policy for Elektri hind (ee.antisoosaar.elektri). The app publisher and controller for Blacksunset-managed processing described here is Blacksunset OÜ (Estonian registry code 16513658), trading as Blacksunset Studio.

The app-specific sections below explain the device data and features the app accesses, the purposes of processing, external service providers, and retention and deletion practices.

When the app connects to external services named below, data is protected in transit with HTTPS or TLS. Data stored on the device can be managed and deleted using the options described below.

The app does not offer account creation, so an account-deletion request flow does not apply.

If you email support, Blacksunset OÜ processes your email address and message content to answer the request and resolve the issue. Support correspondence is kept only as long as necessary for support and applicable legal obligations.

Purpose of the app

Elektri hind displays Estonian electricity market prices and, based on the contract details you enter, calculates an indicative price including fees and an estimated effective price per kWh. The app uses public electricity price data and works without a user account.

What data we process

The app lets you enter contract price components such as contract name, point-of-consumption text, margin, monthly fees, grid fee, VAT rate, monthly consumption, meter interval and price display preferences. This data is stored only on your device or in your browser.

Data storage

In the web app, settings are stored in the browser's localStorage. In the Android app, the same settings are stored in the device's local SharedPreferences. Android backup rules exclude the app's price settings and the widget price cache from automatic cloud backup. The app does not send your contract data or settings to the developer's server.

Public price data

Electricity prices come from Elering's public Nord Pool price interface. A request includes the date and time range for which prices are requested. On Elering's or the grid operator's side, ordinary connection metadata such as the IP address may technically be visible.

Forecast and external services

To display a seven-day price forecast, the app may use a Supabase-based backend and Open-Meteo weather data. When connecting to these services, the providers may process ordinary technical connection information such as the IP address, request time and network request metadata. The app does not send your contract name, point of consumption, price thresholds or contact details to Supabase.

Android notifications and widgets

At the user's choice, the Android app can show local price alerts. Alert thresholds are stored on the device and are used only to decide whether to show a price alert. Android home screen widgets temporarily store official price information on the device so the price is visible even when a connection fails. Android price alerts are not used in the web version.

What the app does not do

The app does not create user accounts, does not collect names, email addresses or phone numbers, does not use ad networks, does not sell data to third parties, and does not use location data.

Third parties

The app uses Elering's public API to display electricity prices, Supabase for forecast data and Open-Meteo for weather data. If the app is published on the Google Play Store, Google may process data related to downloading, installing and using the store in accordance with Google's own terms and privacy policy.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete the app settings on the Settings page with the 'Restore defaults' option. On Android, data can also be removed by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. In the browser, data can be removed by clearing the site's localStorage or site data. The official price cache expires during normal use of the app and is used only to display the price.
